Hey Pablo, don't rain on the guy's parade. The people who are on leases in Ellis county found them some how. I am still looking in the counties just south of there in Navarro, Freestone, and Henderson counties and I am not ready to give up yet. Good luck JDW!

Not raining on his parade. Just a very hard area to get a lease,Most all the hunters in this area are the land owners and imeatily family I wish him the best of luck!!!

It's possible.. I run hog hunts in maypearl right of 66 all year long. And have places I can hunt any time 5 minutes from downtown.

What do you want to hunt? I've been on a waterfowl lease off 34 at the Trinity. The guy that runs the lease just booted off all the deer hunters because they couldn't follow some basic rules. Because it's so close to the Metromess, it ain't cheap.

I saw your post about a deer lease fairly close to the Metroplex where the guy booted the deer hunters off. Do you know if it is still available?
Looking for a place to take my kids and have a few other good friends that would be interested if it was big enough.

Corby, I heard the trinity river lease was full if its the same one it sounds like I know. Unless they kicked the new guys off before the season even started. I'll kind of defend the hunters from last season, I was told they were not kicked off. I heard they were welcome back but they didnt want to pay the price increase. Went from 10 guys @ $10k to $17,500 for the lease for about 5 guys. Only about 200 acres of woods easily accesible, rest is open pasture or across the river on an island.
I live in the area and know people around this lease, and theey said not to get it that it wasnt worth that. It is close to Dallas which drives up the price. I almost got it but didnt have enough rich friends. a few really good deer down there.
