Not my cup of tea, or brains either.

It actually looks pretty good. I typically don't burn a fire in deer camp, but might have to give it a try next season.

They had hog's heads on Chopped last night. They looked cured. You can buy bacon like hog gaws.

My dad does it with cow heads quite often. Very good!

Pretty sure I wouldn't touch the brains, but jowl and tongue? I say meat is meat - seems like a good use of an otherwise wasted piece.

I have boiled my share of heads, several fresh several 1/2 rotted with magots all over and too many to count with nasal worms or whatever you want to call them.

On the fresh heads I have pinched a piece of cheek meat off of a hog deer and beaver head. None of it was objectionable but the beaver had best flavor... go ahead and bring on the jokes..

Nope, seen the weird stuff my buddy who does euros has pulled out of deer heads, not happening.

Me too. I go backpacking every other month with a few buddies of mine, and we started doing the same. It's great looking at the "quality of food" we eat compared to our early days. I honestly think I eat better on the trails than at home.
