What higher profit margin?

If that were the case how are Academy, Walmart and Cabela's making money selling a re craz rices? you know those stores are still making $

yeah, if you aren't acting crazy, you can still find ammo at a very good price (pre-crazy prices)...

I would even include Bass Pro Shop in that list as I have recently bought some 22LR from them for $23/525 bulk pack.

But, people acting crazy buying at high prices and people acting crazy by marking things up...double edged sword.

2X
The story I like is how all of the guys reselling at 2x - 3x the price claim that they are cheaper than the other guys.
Really, how can everyone all say that?
I am disapointed in how the private private shops are gouging their customers for a few bucks. My elegance goes to to Cabelas, Bass Pro, Academy and Walmart.
I will never buy ammo from Nagels or Crappier Than Dirt again.

If ya wanna expand that "no-buy list" just jump on gunbot or ammoseek right quick. Lots of gouging going on there.

Not denying that some of the prices on gunbot are a crazy high (.22lr selling for upwards of 40 cents a round??), but I have recently bought some 7.62x39 on there for 28 cents a round, and some 9mm for .38 cents a round. If you wait for the good prices they will show up there. Some of the high prices on gunbot are also specialty rounds that are expensive anyway....not trying to defend the website, but it does work if you are patient.
