I think LED's are awesome, that being said, I would never pay for them. The original KC Daylighters fit my pocket book and throw off a lot of light, put 4 on your rig and you will never be able to outrun your lights. That's the only benefit, other then low voltage, that I see the LED's have. Unless you drive super fast offroad, I don't think you will use the LED's to their full potential.

LED's are freakin bright as hell. I have a 40" on my Jeep and when it's on, you can't even tell if you turn the headlights on. My vote would be spend a little extra and buy LED. I happen to know a place that can get them pretty cheap.

LED is way better. Less power consumption, more durable, less heat, longer lasting.

Let me see if we ever got the account set up with them. In the meantime, If RIGID brand is what your wanting, we are having a sale on all RIGID brands. Check out performancetruckproducts.com and the sale price is shown when added to the cart. RIGID is the absolute best LED lights out there if you want to spend your money on a great light, but there are other options. RIGID light torture test

I'm planning on some Rigids on a roof rack in the future. They are expensive, but I feel that they'll be worth it.

I'd love to jump all over that, but I just wrote two checks today for a lift and tires. A lot of people think my wife will kill me one day. That would probably push her over that edge.

The pic above looks good, but what's the wattage rating of the Piaa's and LED's? I e always had 4 KC daylighters in the 130 version, puts off as much light as the LED. I do like the color of the led's versus the KC's, and the lower power consumption is nice. You might be chainging me to LED's.

The wattage pulled by LED's is WAY less than any other out there. I can't remember the specific #'s, but my 40" bar draws less currant than my PIAA 520's on my F-250 and WAY less than the KC lights i have on it as well. They will be coming off soon and a 10" will be going in their place. Not a very good picture, but here's my 40". My headlights aren't on, and there are no streetlights except the ones you see in further down. I'll have to try and get some more at night. My Jeep is the one in front. It's pretty bright.

I put two of the smallest Rigid LED's Spotlights (small 4 bulb unit) on my Polaris Rangers and they lit up the world. Unreal good and reasonably priced. I think they were about $200 for the pair of them. We initially put halogen bulbs in our regular headlights in an attempt to help and they did help but could only see about 50 yds ahead of the vehicle. Now we can see 200-300 yards

I would like to put 40 inch LEDs On the windshield rack but it seems like I can only find 50 inch racks so if I wanted 20" Or 30" they could not go on the top of my 98 jeep tj

LED any day. More/better light with less electrical draw.

Some of you guys have experience with the LED's. and I have been debating on what to install on my buggy as well. I am wondering with the setups you guys have, how far away can you accurately make out what you're looking at?
If ducks had horns I'd probably be a duck hunter. I am a horrible deer hunter. Probably the worst. Ever.

Some of you guys have experience with the LED's. and I have been debating on what to install on my buggy as well. I am wondering with the setups you guys have, how far away can you accurately make out what you're looking at? in my opinion, it all depends on what you are doing with it. By "buggy", do you mean offroad buggy style or UTV buggy? If offroad style, most likely you will be with a group of people when riding at night. Larger ones like my 40" come in handy and are BRIGHT, but unless you are in front or trying to light something up for others, can't use it much. (In my picture above, I am behind someone, but the guy taking the picture hit me on the CB and told me to turn them on for a picture, I didn't leave it on since I was behind someone) The smaller ones like the rigid dually's or a 10" you could use more often depending on how they are aimed. Another option is get the Amber lights instead of the white ones. They are still bright and you can see great, but they won't blind the person in front of you. If for a UTV buggy, same applies unless you are by yourself most of the time and that case you can get as crazy as you want. Ideally, I would install a few of each. I currently have the 40", and plan on putting two more dually's and a 10" amber light. That way i have all scenarios covered. As far as how far out you can make see stuff. My 40" goes a long way and you can see a LOT more than any of my other lights i had. I can see better at night with it than i did with my light force lights.

You can see how mine is mounted in this pic. The 10" light will go on the bumper and we will modify the brackets we made for the 40" to accommodate the smaller dually lights. [img:center] [/img]
