Does anyone know who does these custom builds? A member mentioned this to me and has really got my attention

Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

He used to charge about $350 to stub a barrel.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Basically. He cuts down a shotgun barrel, threads the "stub" and screws the new barrel blank into the shotgun stub, then reams the new barrel and cuts it for the extractor.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.
