I've never reloaded. If you care to share your data I'd be glad to have it in case I find time to start reloading. Thanks.

Thanks kmon1. I have 3 different loads that came with the rifle. I believe he said the 115 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips were the most accurate in this rifle of the 3, also have 120 gr partitions and 100 grain spire points.
Getting ready to scope this one and get it ready for 2013/2014. Thinking about selling the Mark V 270 Wby mag. The dang thing is almost too pretty to hunt with lol.

I like the 110 NAB. Does very good in my gun.

My Vanguard liked the 100gr factory SP. I would be nervous to shoot anything <200 yards with them though. I reload 100gr TTSX now with 71gr IMR 7828 and they are about 3/4 MOA. Good luck, it's an awesome caliber.

Factory 100gr TSX out of my 24" barrel - Flyer was my fault Reloads with RL22 and the Same 100gr TSX - which from what I have seen with on game performance is the perfect .257wby bullet.

Most factory loads will not shoot any better if as good. I hand load the same bullets and with my buddys 25-06 100 grain TSX or TTSX and RL 22 he gets same hole groups..but I fitted the ammo to his chamber..DD

Hoping one of the factory loads I already have will shoot really well in this rifle.

Anybody tried those?

Honestly, you won't know how well a certain factory load and bullet will shoot in your rifle until you try it. I've played with several 257 Wby's, and they can shoot very well. I've had several customers bring me their Wby rifle's to work up a load for them when they tried many factory ammo options that would not shoot well. I would pull the bullets to use the brass, and weight the factory powder charges. On one Weatherby branded ammo I got a .9 grain spread on the powder charge on about 10 cases that I weighed. When I work up test loads, I work them up in .3 grain increments. A .9 grain spread is enough to cover 3 different test loads, and easily take you out of a sweet spot. Any of the smaller caliber cases with a magnum size powder charge will be hard to throw accurate powder charges from the factory. It's due to the extruded powder they use and the powder bridging in the funnel and not staying consistant. Magnum extruded powder is very hard to meter consistantly and get it down a small .257" opening.

Thanks Chad. Funny thing is I just searched " Chad " on here because I remembered your name and wanted to see if you reloaded 7mmSTW. I have a .270 Wby and a .257 Wby and really want to sell the .270 Wby Mark V ( too pretty to hunt with lol ) and use the money towards my .257. You do exactly what I'm looking for so I'll plan on getting with you when I can get some things sold.
Do you load 7mm STW? Got rid of a Sendero years ago and have regretted it ever since.

Yes, I have loaded for several 7 STW. I've loaded some VLD's in it, as well as some Accubonds and a few other hunting bullets. I have used Nosler brass exclusively for it, but Rem brass will also work.
