Had a forum member send me a pic of a knife and ask if I could duplicate it using a rasp. I said I'd try and here is the outcome.
Honestly I had my doubts at first but turns out I really like it.
Blade made from a Nickolson Farriers rasp. Scales are stabilized spalted box elder with black liners and mosaic pins.
Overall length is 6 5/8" and the hollow ground blade is 3 3/8" tip to scales. Cutting edge is 2 3/8".

Well I have one but my youngest son took it off line to redo it and hasn't ever gotten it back on line.
Here is a link to a photobucket album with a lot of my knives in it. If you see something you like just send me the link in a PM and I can give you the details.

Great work as always Mike. I really like the shape and finished look. Where are you going to put your C ?

No C on the rasp knives. I work them in their hardened state and they are way to hard to stamp. On my blades that I grind from annealed bar stock or billets I stamp just before heat treat.

If it ain't sharp, it's just a piece of metal.

That handle is home grown so to speak. Came from a box elder tree by the shop that a storm blew some big limbs off of. It was in the spalt pile for around 2 years and then drying in the shop for another year or so.

I am looking for a good work knife. Do you build to order?

p.s. let me know if you need someone to get your website back online. Your knives are too nice not to have a proper place to be shown off.
