I do not kill them I do rod and reel catch and release , my trips are $550.00 a day for 1 or 2 people , I fish the Trinity River mostly

The Trinity is known for some GIANT gar. I've hooked a couple below the dam of Lewisville, they shoot through the air like a rocket when they feel the hook. It's a drag when they spool you.

Has to be the trinity, aint really many more places that will grow those Gar that big. I've bowfished it in some tourneys a few times and let me tell you those things have power and when seen up close they are actually really magnificent fish!
