His freedom of expression was not politically correct.

This is just a glimpse of the downfall of the education system. Focus more on being politcally correct rather than actually teach them useful stuff.

Sounds like the teacher was the one disturbing the education process if the shirt didn't violate school policy.

Bad all the way around. Sounds like the kid was spoiling for a fight to begin with. Why can't people be smart and pick their battles in a way that doesn't reflect badly on gun rights.

According to their own rules, I don't see where he violated anything.

"A student will not dress or groom in a manner that disrupts the educational process or is detrimental to the health, safety or welfare of others. A student will not dress in a manner that is distractive or indecent, to the extent that it interferes with the teaching and learning process, including wearing any apparel that displays or promotes any drug-, alcohol- or tobacco-related product that is prohibited in school buildings, on school grounds, in school-leased or owned vehicles, and at all school-affiliated functions."

Wearing a pro constitutional shirt shouldn't be seen as picking a fight. Seems rather patriotic to me.

and the "spoiling for a fight" attitude is why we have a fight to begin with. I gauranf'ntee you if he was wearing a "rainbow coalition", GLADD, Lean Forward, MLK, JJ, or any other left winged outfit he would be applauded for his bravery.

Exactly. Too many people falling into the "make no waves" trap. The leftist are the ones looking for a fight, the kid exercised his 1A and did not violate policy. Time to get back in these idiots faces and humiliate them for their idiocy.

School is like work, you follow the rules, if you want to change the rules, change them before playing by your own set of rules. Where he made his mistake was arguing with the teacher. He should have started by changing the rules.

Try playing by your own set of rules when you are employee, you get fired.

He didn't break the rule, and the teacher shouldn't have infringed upon his 1A rights. Get off the wrong side for once.

Some people are behind the establishment, regardless. They have been brainwashed for so long, they don't even know what is right or wrong.

How was this kid looking for a fight?

I wore shirts with guns on them to school all the time and never thought twice about it.

I like guns and I liked hunting.... that make me a terrorist?

"I never thought it would go this far because honestly I don't see a problem with this. There shouldn't be a problem with this," Marcum told KOWK-TV.

Well-spoken 8th grader. Wearing a shirt supporting an ammendment to our constitution should never cause this sort of disruption. Had the shirt been supporting ANY other ammendment, this wouldn't even be an issue, especialy to a teacher. Granted, it might have gone over better had he quietly left school then contacted the press about how the teacher disrupted his educational process by raising a stink over his shirt which violated no written regulation. Or turned the shirt inside out and told how his 1st ammendment rights were violated by the teacher.

edited to add: Of course, had he taken either of the two above options the media would never run the story. Except maybe Gun Talk.

It's time to drag these people and their defenders out into the open and humiliate them for what they are.. enemies of the constitution.
