Do any one know what powder winchester use?
My 7mm loves there 160g accubond but at 2.33 a round
think i can reload them cheaper
Found the bullets for 29.00 per 50
and brass for for same
I just need to know what powder they use

I would imagine it is a proprietary blend.

If you are talking 7mm REM mag look at Retumbo, h1000 or some of the other slow burning powders.

You can pull the bullet and weigh the powder. By knowing this, you can inspect the powder type (extruded or ball), and the charge weight with the bullet weight will get you in the burn rate area and allow you to guess at what powder they use. But if it shoots good now, it will shoot even better with your ammo with the right powder charge.

+1. I've done this in the past, and it does work. I call it "reverse engineering". cheers
