I'm a real outlaw. I'd like to get a duck lease. I'll probably make a small payment and then never make any other payments. The ability to invite my friends would be a plus. As far as actual duck hunting I use no regular decoys but have 27 mojos and one that attaches to my shotgun. I also can call really loud...it's pretty amazing actually. I only shoot Black Cloud because I like to make it rain. I've watched ever single episode of Duck Dynasty and some of them twice. Anyone have any leads?

This is my way of making fun of every guy that posts on here looking for a lease...they always talk about how upstanding they are...they are family people, god fearing, have a noble/humble job. They are always very respectful of other peoples land, etc. etc. etc. Lots of platitudes. Do people reading these things actually think that someone is going to say bad stuff about themselves? I'd just cut the BS and just post what you are looking for.

Problem is, it's just like a resume. Might be a no brainer but if you don't say it they assume you don't do it. Sadly it took 3 interviews before I learned to SAY "I'm a hard, honest worker who is looking forward to working with your team to add value to the company."

Also buying cars that are "Adult-driven", "Non-smoking", and "extremely clean". Funny how with as many smokers out there I never see an ad that says they smoked in the car or that it has the "smokers package"

I can tell what not to say, 'Just looking to fill the freezer, not interested in trophies.' Equals I will fill all my tags no matter the size or age or game.

And knowing the people really mean... "I don't care about shooting your 160-200 class deer, I am ok with does and cull bucks." Sadly there's no way to say it without giving the impression you care nothing of their management plan

Of course you are right but I still like to make fun of them.

I also like the ones with Fireman, Police Office, or Military listed in them.

No offense but I know plenty of guys in those professions that aren't trustworthy individuals. There are good and bad in all walks of life.

That is why I like to meet face to face whenever possible. Much easier to take the measure of a man in a ftf conversation. The written word leaves too much open to interpretation.

I'm with you. Don't forget to use these exhausted "buzz" words like "management-minded", "ethical", "responsible", "mature hunter" and "non-drinker".

Also agree with another poster, where they designate themselves as "law enforcement" or "firefighter" Dunno, if being a "firefighter" has any bad connotations but wonder how often saying your in "law enforcement" really helps? Think for as many people you impress, there are equally as many, if not more that would not to want to deal with you....

That is also why I don't get on a lease without meeting the members and seeing if we all mesh first.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

My absolute favorite is "management minded".

Everybody claims to be, but once they're on that lease and the clock is winding down on the season, things tend to change if there isn't a long-term arrangement in place.

"management minded" = I'm hoping a big, mature, obvious shooter buck comes out, but if it doesn't...I'm only leasing anyway. I'll be management minded next year.

Also love the following groupings:

"management minded"

+

"looking for small lease (50-100 acres)"

+

"3 guns"

That tugging you felt on your boot was me pulling your leg. But yes the all mojo spread is true.

I'll be honest I'll lease you're place, grow big deer, not shoot much unless its required bc you've probably shot the place out and in 5 yrs you will say you're no longer interested in leasing it bc your crap hole of a place now has deer and all your relatives plan to come mooch off you and shoot your deer and you can't tell them to take a hike I also type in run-ons so if you don't like it take a hike you see how easy that was YOU REALLY WANT ME TO GRACE YOUR PROPERTY WITH MY PRESENCE IF IT WERE NOT TRUE THIS WOULDN'T BE IN ALL CAPS.
