I just picked up a Speedmaster in trade for some machine work. Seems to be a good little .22. Can y'all give me your opinion on the rifle?

Like the 552 very much. Love the way you can mix shorts, longs, and long rifles in then and just run through. I prefer the older ones with the bead front/ramp adjustable rear sight. Would hate to think of how many squirrels/rabbits and other critters have died to the one in the safe.

552 is a great little gun. Like kmon said you can mix the shorts and longs and it will still go bang every time. Its my favorite of the tube feed simi auto 22's.

I had one till it was stolen. It was the best 22 I've shot. My granddad handed it down to me.

Please check your S/Ns for me if you bought in the last 3yrs

I had one for a little while. It was well built, went bang every time I pulled the trigger, and usually hit what I was aiming at. But I’m left handed and it spit out more unburned powder and lead than any other semi that I’ve owned. Seemed like the shell deflector pointed it all towards my forearm and I quickly tired of shooting it, so off it went.

I checked the SN it is not a match sorry. Sounds like I did good on the trade. But I'm also a left hand shooter so we will see if I like it.

IDK, my model 60 rem puts out a lot of unburned powder.

I have a Remington 572 pump that I bought almost 40 years ago now and it's still an awesome little gun. I don't shoot it as much as I should. Maybe I'll take it out this weekend and plink around with it!
