Hey everyone, I wasn't sure where to put this and I figured the photos section had a couple people coming through it.

We went to knob trail (off 377) with our two dogs today and were approached by these two when we got out of the car.

They continued to follow us for the next hour and a half and then jumped right in the car when we got back to it.

We asked multiple hikers and fishermen if they were the owners or had seen them with people. They all said they saw them earlier, felt bad for the two, and hoped someone would do something.

The male is a beautiful yellow lab who seems to be somewhere between 7-10 months best that I can figure. He comes on command, retrieves and has a coller mark as if he has been wearing one.


The female is a sweet lab/maybe Pitt mix from what I can tell and is as calm as can be. Walked behind us the entire way but joined in on the fun when the others went swimming.



We took them home with our two, bathed them all, and fed them. Now they are relaxing under a roof unless they give us reason to boot them in the backyard.

I'm really hoping they aren't dumped but I would hope someone would do the same for me if I lost my dogs.

If anyone has info to who these two belong to please speak up.

If interested in either dog, let me know and I'll call you before I take them to our local SPCA.

Good on you for picking them up. Hopefully, their people will post on Craigslist (just looked -- nothing yet) or get the word by some other means.

If the pups were left there, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the one who abandoned them, and may their arms be too short to scratch...

Yeah, we posted something on Craigslist about them so maybe they will see it, hopefully they have been chipped. Will check tomorrow

I posted a link to this on the TFF in the OT. Apparently Flower Mound has a no kill shelter, if you can't find the owner and can't care for them yourself.

If you can't find the owner for the yellow lab, I can probably take her before she has to go to a shelter.

Thanks everyone! We have contacted multiple shelters and none of them have the description of the dogs we have. We will check to see of they are chipped today, will keep it updated.

There's about 50 doggie daycare places just north of there in argyle.

Might be worth a call to some of the closer ones.

contact the local animal control or SPCA...our dog ran off several years ago and we located him the next day because a kind sould like yourself took him in and contacted the local animal control office. Hopefully, there is a family out there that is looking for them and will most likely call the pound to see if they've been picked up.
