Thanks JD. We've been averaging 45 animals a night, in the last month. Predator populations are looking real good, this year.

New user here, just stumbled onto this thread. All I can say is WOW! Tony, you have come a long ways in a short time! I really would like to experience PREDATOR CALLING at it's best! I understand (of course) that there is no guarantee. It would be a best effort, but nobody else comes close to these advertized numbers! Heck; I'd even be happy with 22.5 animals a night, but I'd feel a little guilty about bringing down the average. lol How much ammo should I bring, and do you take American Express?

Good hunting. LB

edit: green horn? Yeah, that's me.

No more, no less, simply interesting/informative...looks like an enjoyable place to read/learn...with lots of "Characters."

As to any "exotic" hunts, count me out. I was born at night, but not last night.

I don't consider ourselves "characters" I do consider our selves as "persons" with a varied interest in hunting, hope that clears the air, as to say

Clears the air?? I guess I missed something...'course I am just a dumb old Arkansas boy. A "character" is not a negative connotation, but rather indicates colorful. Which in my mind is a good thing.

I didn't come here with an agenda. I just enjoy predator hunting, the boards, and having fun. It seems some degree of offense has been taken...rest assured none was intended.

If for some reason I am not welcome here, please lemme know as I can go the same way in which I came.

Your more then welcome here. As far as agendas, there are none to my knowledge. Some threads have more truth then others, some have more info then others and some threads are just what they are I hope this makes sense, and welcome

Well.................hmmmmmmmm this looks like a play by play from the Predator Masters forum. I guide on a exclusive ranch in the heart of west Tx, as many of you may know I also have access to close to a billion acres, including the 36,000 I intensely manage for coons and ants. Now, Tony has been out to the ranch, ummmmmmmmmmm like last Febaury I think I have done many a calling on that der ranch and have called 187 Black panthers, 123 Chupvargas, close to a million Opie Possums, 1.8 million Wiley Coyotes, 3.7 million Bobby Cats, ect. The numbers speak for themselves. Now with that my best night was when me and Jeff Whitson, from predator ono, el numero ono called in 5 goats, 2 donkeys, the neighbors wife and 4 elephants. With my keen sense of predator calling that I aquired over 42 years of trapping and furring, it is possible to take 45 a night easily. If anyone wants to rebute it, take it up with me in person, I have pictures and proof, by gosh

Looks like someone's been dipping they're doughnuts in Mescal again!

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

This all depends on your land. My best place is a little less than 5000 acres and takes me about 3-4 hours to hunt it good. We see anywhere from 10-15 yotes and a few foxes each time but we only hunt it once or twice a year. I don't see how 40 sightings of yotes, cats, and foxes would be far fetched for an outfitter with 500,000 acres. With that much land you should be able to spotlight that many yotes and never turn on a call. I would think a good night kill wise would be 10-15 animals. I know they kill a few more than that on some of the predator hunts but those guys are usually on bait piles.

I would suggest you check out some of the varmint hunts in our area. I'm not sure what the rule is this year in our Graham hunt but usually you need 8 cats to win. That is because there is an 8 animal limit with bobcats worth the most points. They had to make an 8 animal limit to cut out the guys bringing in 25 coyotes each hunt. In the unlimited contest you will need a mixed bag of 20+ to take first. Go ahead, check it out and then you can apologize. If you have all the land you want and you can’t see 40 varmints in 24 hours you must be blind. That is only 1.6 animals per hour. You don’t live in coyote country if you’re not seeing 1.6 coyotes per hour. Anybody that is from the city and is giving advice, come on now. Let’s not act like we know what we are talking about because we read Texas Trophy Hunters and come out to the country on the weekends to guide or hunt.
