Stopped at a gun shop in Kerrville that had 525 rounds of 22 ammo boxes in stock. Asked how much and they guy behind the counter said 250 dollars a box. My dad and I were waiting for the punch line that never came. The salesman then said that 22 ammo is going for 50cents a bullet and that is how much they pay their supplier. Needless to say I wont give them a penny of my businness...

$250 is comical. I would have called him out. I hope no one pays that much, but i bet someone will.
Sometimes a little self-therapy is good for the soul... getting out to mother nature, finding peace in reading a good book, re-learning how to take care of yourself.

and that is how much they pay their supplier  If not they need to stop having gun broker as their supplier.

Elye match at Cabela's is currently running 36 cents. They had 2 different ones in the last week the other was 20 cents a round.
Last CCI MiniMags I saw there were 7.5 cents a round

525 rounds for $250 with it costing the dealer .50 cents a round. You should have made him do the math to prove he was a liar.
If they are paying .50 cents a round at dealer cost, looks like they are giving away 25 free rounds per box.

It was young guns and jewelry. Why even reason with them when there that far off I just left but will never go back. I just can't believe they would actually try and pull that off unless someone really would pay that much.

Lots of sellers telling folks what they really think of their current and future business with the double and triple markups. Don't forget who did and did not mark up.
