Today, the Texas Big Game Awards scoring committee has decided to accept the dry score of Robert Taylor's Grayson County buck.

It means that his deer is number one in the eyes of TBGA and the AJ Downs buck is number two.

Both are ugly in my eyes. don't care for either one. That being said, great that they killed big, mature deer. They should both be proud and not let some little record bother them.

I agree. Sad but it seems like hunting now has to have a some sort of record attached to it.

I also don't care for them they just have a bunch of trash. I much prefer a typical rack or at least a typical frame with some trash to these freaks. In the end you have to please yourself.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

would I shoot one of the buck in question to have a big non-typical on my wall if I saw them? yes I would.

Would he be my favoirte buck on my wall? not by a mile....In fact I have a 140" 8-point that I like the looks of more.

Its just a personal preference. Score doesn't mean everything. My ideal buck is a clean 170" free range 10 point. Not a whole lot of those made either.

Would I shoot it?, yes, would I put it on my wall? probably not. I would probably sell the rack to a collector and finance some hunts for a animals I liked.

I would proudly put him on my wall. I'm all about variety in my hunting trophies.

Id be surprised if anyone saw the game picture. Then spent the reasonable length of time to hunt that one animal and not hang him on the wall.

Like saying i only like Redheads or Blonds

I wouldn't pass on him, that's for sure. He's got a big ol' body on him. Very impressive. Native free range makes it even better.
