Church's has good fried chicken, real juicy. There sides and tenders aren't all that. Chicken Express has the best tenders. Not impressed by Babes fried chicken.
I remember back in the 80's when Grandy's used to be the place to go for fried chicken. Not so much anymore.

Williams chicken is awesome, but locations differ in quality. The one on illinois is always consistent and hot. They are open 24 hours and that location is one of their flagship locations. I like halls better than Rudy's. Both are the same style, but rudy's just puts too much seasoning for me. I think Rudy's is just Hall's chicken with a lot of salt. Babes is yummy. As mentioned before Sissy's is delicious! $20 for 10 pieces and mashed potatoes may seem like a lot to some, but the place is really nice. Great setting and refreshing to visit a place with a nice setting and great chicken. Best option there is to just stick with chicken and mash. It is hot, juicy and has a distinct taste. Really good stuff. As for store chicken I like tom thumb.
I used to like chicken express, but sometimes it is tough(like it has not been brined) and so I have quit going. Bushs' chicken (there is one by the kolache place in West) is great as well.
I only lie when I tell the truth.
