Stupid question. Does Academy not sale any left handed bolt action rifles? I went to the one here Midland and they don't shelf any. The kicker is they say they can't order any? I was also advised there are very few left handed bolt guns and Academy only carries right hand?

Wally World can and will order one for me. Btw this is for the wife she's a south paw.

your gonna have to go to bass pro.

your correct, that wally world can order one.

they make left handed brownings, rugers, remingtons and winchester. savage also has a few left handed mondels out there.

it seems there are more left handed rugers out there than any other brand.

Typically academy's prices are far cheaper than the other retail stores.in order to do that they have a very specific number of firearms they carry. They figure the number of individuals looking for a left handed bolt gun is so slim it's not worth stocking them. I was amazed in the time I worked there how few bolt guns were sold, even during deer season. We sold a few of the cheap mossberg rifles but no one looked at any of the quality Remington/Savage/tikka. They no they can't compete so they continue to sell the mess out of cheap pistols and home defense shotguns and stock a few bolt rifles to look like they are a real gun shop.

Additionally, part of there low prices are from making bulk orders of Glocks or S&W Sigmas, to the point they don't have access to other wholesalers etc.

I've had to be dilligent hunting for LH bolt actions. Academy never has them. Txtrophy has observed a difference from what I have. I usually see LH Savages very available, Remington and Tikka tie for second. You may have to scour pawn shops, post WTB, and when you get enough of all that go to Bud's Gunshop, pay the shipping and get what you want.

we don't see alot of left handed savages down here, but that may be a regional thing. i know savage makes alot of lefty bolt guns, same with remington, but both are rare down in south texas.

easiest one for us to pick up is a ruger or browning

Having been a South Paw my lifetime I appreciate your problem..I shot SS and SBS or OU in rifles and shotguns for years..My first was a premier grade Savage w/jeweled bolt and Weatherby type stock..I got over 15000 rounds thru that 7mm Mag before rebbling
it. If you want a good L/H weapon..Look at Remington in SPS or Police and Military..run from around $500 to $900..Ruger w/be my next choice, and having had some bad exp. w/Browning Stainless I'd stay away from them..Savage is always a shooter and mostly inexpensive unless you get into a top of the line item..Bandera
Gun Club w/order you one cheaper than most retailers..Don

Your gonna have to order one through your local gun store or Wally world. I ordered my LH rem 700 through wally world. They we're able to tell me that their distributor had it in stock and that it would be there in about 1 week. I put half down and paid the other half on arrival. I was pretty pleased with Walmart actually.

Have LH Sako and Savage. Both awesome. Rarely find one on the shelf though as stated above. Good luck. Mine had to be ordered. But I am glad I did.

Got lucky several years ago and picked up my LH Savage 30-06 at Bass Pro here in San Antonio. At the time the guy at the gun shop said they usually had one or two around. I have not looked in awhile.
