We are now closing in on only 2 months away from our axis hunt in Sonora.. I'm trying to get my dad as excited about it as me.. Some good axis pics alive or dead would be great!! Thanks for the responses !

That is one GIANT axis! The brows are ridiculous! What's the story behind it...any idea? Quite a trophy room SOMEBODY has there. Nice sable & fallow too..
The one I posted was taken about a month ago w/ Texas Hunt Lodge (not sure which ranch), but they "claim" to have even bigger out there! It's being mounted by Gary @ Rhodes Taxidermy in Kerrville.

I have posted these 3 Axis belonging to a friend of mine before. who did the taxidermy work on those? for some reason most taxi's don't get the right swell on the necks, mine was shrunk down considerably. the above examples look fantastic

I had it scored by ROE at 174 but never turned it in. I found ROE to be very "Mickey Mouse" and just lost interest in the scoring thing. This was way back in 1990.
