Last night we pulled up on 5 or 6 coyotes eating a dead cow, the ran about 200 plus yards away. All we had was a 22mag for shooting skunks. What is the best way to get me to stop and or come back. What calls should I use and or color of lights red, green etc.

This was open cattle land by the way.

I like the red lights. Some have used the green and have had success though.

As for a call, I'd go with a cottontail distress call.

If you spooked them, they're likely not going to venture back.

when they want to. Give them time and they will work their way back. It might now be on your time though.

Don't try and call them. Just sneak in with the wind in your favor and ambush them.

Why would they want to come to a distress rabbit sound when they have a free meal (dead cow) to eat. Making any kind of noise will probably just spook them.

Yep, your best chance is an ambush like mentioned above!
You might have got one to stop for a quick second with a sharp high pitched bark as soon as they took off.
I would also agree that you likely would not call them back in that night, but you may try some higher pitched howls impersonating a lucky coyote that stumbled across the free meal!

Start carrying a larger rifle with a good scope.

I had this happen during hunting season. Coyotes would visit that cow everyday at all times of the day.
