Just for fun I decided to see what I could find in the garage to accessorize my new 75 Brute Box. I have parts and pieces from my cooler grave yard. I found a couple of old polymer cutting boards that were from an old Igloo 120 marine. And, I found an inside tub from an old Igloo 48 marine. Both coolers have long since been gone. But, luckily, I saved the good parts.

I trimmed the one cutting board to fit the slot. And, it fits just right, no gaps, nice and snug. And, the tub while a little small fits very nice on one side of the ice chest with a small gap to put ice and other items below it. I LIKE IT! It ain't purty. But, I think it will be functional until I can grab me some genuine Brute Outdoors accessories.

Here are the two cutting boards to show the full sized one, and the one I trimmed to fit. I used a simple skill saw to do it.



This is the modified cutting board in it's new home, the center slot of my Brute Box 75.


And, this is the accessory combo in place. The tub fits very nicely, slides well. And, the cutting board fits very nice, with no gaps.


While I'd prefer to have Brute Outdoors accessories, this combo will work for a little while.

The lid wraps are great! I love them! They appear to be made from some very tough material, and should last a long time.

I went Saturday to pick up my 50qt brute cooler with a camo top. Everyone at the brute camp in Keller were very nice and easy to do business with. So on Monday I put drinks and ice to the top of the cooler. I know it has been cold the last couple of days but the ice has only lost about a 1inch all the way the cooler. I will still have to see how well it works in the 100+ heat. I really like this cooler.

I have only had it about a week so far. But today I went to discount tire in get some trailer tires. When the guy came to get the tires out of the back of the truck. He saw my brute cooler the tan 50qt with the camo and said man that's a bad [censored] yeti cooler. I then told the guy that it wasn't a yeti cooler it was a brute and he said that he had a older yeti and just thought it was a new one.After he looked it over he said that it was the best looking cooler he as seen. Just thought I would share that. By the way I really love how the new brute coolers look.

I stopped by today at JD Outdoor Unlimited in Kingsville to have a look at the Brute's. The other customers there had nothing but praise about them and the owner there was a really nice guy. They twisted my arm and I picked up a 25qt cooler to try out. If I like it I will save my pennies for a larger one. This one will work for the Boyscout camping trips with my sons.

You're gonna love it! And, you'll end up buying the larger size!

Just picked up a sandy color one at Buckstop in Alvarado. For same money I got 15 quarts more than the yeti. Im excited theres definitely difference in durability of lower end coolers. Its pretty solid cooler. Just need pimp it out now with some accessories. But better give wife some time before asking for something again

Go Dow Santa gertrudis and go south on 14th street. Its in a suite to you right hand side maybe about a mile. I found it on Brutes dealer locater. Really cool guys there.

All this talk about Brute coolers has me wanting one.

The 75 quart specs seem to hold only 2 cases of drinks. That doesn't sound very big.

What size would you recommend to hold ice to replenish the less efficient coolers for summer camping and hold a deer or hog in winter?

Ever thought about organizing a group buy?

The 75 Quart is a great size that can be used for drinks or hunting. I wouldn't recommend the 100 Quart for a drink cooler because its pretty dang big.

Drink capacity is always a factor of how much ice you want. If its going to be used for the day, you could add a lot more drinks. If you want to use it several days then I'd ensure you had plenty of ice.

What's that riding around in the back of a Mule on me and my buddies West Texas Aoudad hunt? Yup, my new 25 quart Brute Box. It road all week in the back of that Mule on nothing but dusty West Texas ranch dirt roads. The ice stayed clean, the drinks stayed cold, and it was the perfect size for all day. We even kept our lunch in it. The seal on the lid was great. No dust inside, not one grain. Outside, we had dust all over EVERYTHING!!

Oh, btw, the 25qt Brute Box made a great step for getting on the roof when we did some night time predator hunting. It was the PERFECT size for the Mule, and hunting each day. I used the 75qt for meat. I had along the old model 90qt also. I filled the 90qt with ice on last Friday. We used ice from the 90 to keep the 25 with ice for drinks. We had to typically add ice every 2 days cause we drank a LOT(and I mean A LOT) of water. So, the 25 was opened a lot during the day. We got the above pictured Aoudad on Tuesday. There was still plenty of ice in the 90 to cover all the meat, plus some. I still went into town and we topped the 90 again with ice because I was staying till Thursday. I killed my Aoudad on Wednesday afternoon, and had plenty of ice to cover meat and keep drinks cold for the trip home.

Did I say I LOVE my Brute Boxes yet? Well, I LOVE MY BRUTE BOXES!!!!!

Dooney and Burke purse worked for me. My wife LOVES Dooney and Burke. They are pricy, but built to last. Made from real nice leather, brass zippers and fittings all around, solid stitching, very nicely made. And, they please the ladies. She LOVES me!!!
