This is the second time I have seen this(or a similar) duck 20 miles apart. WTH is it?

Neither of the ponds hold ducks year round. Could they be flying in from a local lake?

We used to raise ducks when I was a kid...you'd be surprised how many flavors you come out with after a few years.

Domesticated ducks will start producing albino generations due to inbreeding within 3 generations. It is a common occurrence for "farm ducks" and ducks raised for research. its due to lack of input of genetics to keep the dominant alleles. The recessive traits start to become dominant.

See this rarely in nature, because A) enough genetic drift, and B) when it does occur, they are an easy target because they lose camoflage.

Oooohhhhh that one!

It's hard to truly know exactly what that one is. I bet it's daddy is unknown and again......it's momma was a whore. Those park ducks are all about getting around. They'll do anything for some bread.

Them boys will kill that hen, if they aren't separated. Look at all the feathers they've already ripped out of her head and neck.

Lost a good black star laying hen this spring the same way.
