Hey fellas.

After doing hours of research, I have decided to go the way of a fiberglass blind to replace my deteriorating stand next year.

I have come to conclusion that Boss Game Blinds are the way to go. I was quoted about $2800 OTD for a 4x6 standard w/ full ranch pkg. on a 8 ft. tower. Think thats a fair deal?

Reason I picked Boss is due their reputation, being and ALL fiber-glass blind incl. floor, and their lifetime guarantee. I am still open for suggestions though, thats a lot of money to cough up:/

Would it be better if I wait for a different time of the year to get a better deal? Or is their even better product out there for a better price?

I got an Atascosa 5x5 on a 10 or 12 ft tower that I think is head and shoulders above the Boss stands for considerably less money than that at the TTHA show this year. They make pretty good deals there and I will buy another if I need one.

Mind me asking how much? Arent those metal insulated with foam? Couldnt it rust over time? Do they guarantee theirs for life?

I sure hope Atascosa has figured out how to keep paint on their blinds cause the paint will come off them in just about a year or so. I would take a Boss or a T-Box Blind fiberglass over an Atascosa. T-Box were cheaper than Boss the last time I checked on pricing and way cheaper than Atascosa.

I just bought a 5 x 7 Boss on an 8' platform with the ranch package for $2850. Check around their dealers...most do not want to carry that inventory for 8 more months.

My dad passed a place between Dallas and Ennis that had 2 story blinds. They were damaged new large septic tanks that they cut the damaged ends off of, built a floor w/carpet and put metal stairs in. There were fold down water tight windows and 360 degree visibility. The interior was sound proofed with a rubber coating similar to Rino-Lining. The ground level had a swinging door you could park a 4 wheeler in. He said the guy was asking $2,500 but you had to haul them. I don't know the name of the place, hopefully someone on here knows who I am talking about.

I think that is way overpriced. I have a resource that builds 4 x 6 blinds with insulation and corrugated tin as the skin of the blind, glass windows for about a third of that price. PM me for his contact info.
I have several of these blinds, the first one I put out is 8 years old and looks like the day I put it out except for the paint fading slightly.

Strange there are a few 16 & 20 footers on our lease in south Texas that have been in place for 11 years and have 0 rust or leaks and no paint chipping. These are one of the best blinds I have seen.
