The first time I saw a YETI, I said to my dad, "why on earth would someone pay that much money for a cooler?" Two months later I bought one, then a few months after that I became an authorized dealer for YETI Coolers. I wouldn't sell them if I didn't believe in the product. No, they are not inexpensive, but I think they are worth it. They are definitely built to last. Come check them out sometime at our shop if you're interested.

I bought my Yeti's before they were as cool as kakis and crookies on a FRAT RAT! Kind of makes me want to sell them now that it seems to be the fad and kool!

Unreal...I got a flier in the mail from Rogers sporting goods...they had Yeti's for sale and they also had a brand named Pelican Coolers. Of course Coleman and Igloo are stepping up their game and also coming out with better coolers. I think the gold rush is over...too many cooler makers and not enough future demand. When it comes to price this could end up working out for customers though.
Of all the coolers and trying to give them an honest evaluation I got to say the Brutes seem to be one of the best designs and certainly the best value. Yeti probably will always have the best name brand recognition with sportsmen. More competition in the market means better pricing for consumers.

Great Info. Thanks for the video. I've never even heard of an Engel cooler...until now! That video was the reason I bought an IRP cooler. IRP makes some good solid coolers. But, that was before I had ever heard of Brute Outdoors. Brute beats them, and Yeti, on price. And, with Brute's new models I even think they beat the competition on features as well. If you compare pictures of Brutes older models with pics of the Engels I think you'll see a striking resemblance. They were very similar.

Sounds like the Grizzly is a good fit for your needs. My only complaint about grizzly is the limited sizes 60, 150, 400 Brute excels on their sizing if you fish and use a bay boat. You can buy three 100 qt brutes for the cost of two yeti's. Competition is great for the consumer!!!

Would love to see this updated. This video has to be close to a couple years old...maybe more. Lots of new stuff since then. The one thing I would be worried about if finding someone that would do it in an unbiased manner. I would would not trust any of the cooler companies that did these tests nor would I trust a site/writter whatever that gets advertising money from one of the cooler companies.

1. The IRP IceWave 120 was a beast super heavy duty. The Grizzly line that replaced it is right up there for durability, but the foam used is quite a bit better now.
2. Look for two new coolers from Grizzly this year, filling before and after the 60.
Still all made in the USA and available in many colors with Lifetime Warranty.

The Ice Wave 120 sure is a BEAST of a cooler. I'm curious to know the difference in the foam from the Ice Wave and the newer Grizzly coolers. I know the Ice Wave 120 I have will hold ice it seems like forever. How has the new insulation improved? I do like the lifetime warranty for sure on the Grizzly's. That's very nice to have if you ever need it. They look well built enough to not ever need the warranty, which is great. What additional sizes will you guy's be coming out with? And, what price ranges are we looking at?

Marty, the new coolers use a foam with higher density and achieve better results with less weight. If you bought the 120 later at the end of it's run you most likely have the same foam we currently use.
As far as sizes, a 75 is in tooling and one around 40 is being designed.
