It was our 1st time at Babe's and it was oh soooooooooo good
Chicken Fried Steak & Fried Chicken just like my Grandma use to make from scratch !
Endless Green Beans , Cream of corn , Mashed potatos & gravy , Biscuits with butter & honey along with sweet tea
It was a 4.9 out of 5 udamdan Stars

Love some Babes. However not all of them are created equal. Yep, and I have been eating at the original in Roanoke long before it was trendy, and long before they expanded. Cedar Hill is sub standard, both food and service. Yes I have eaten there multiple times at the request family/friends and have reached a point a where I refuse. OP do yourself a favor and check out Roanoke. Be warned, if any of your party goes there thinking they can the "other" items that are found on the Cedar Hill menu they cannot. It is about 20% the size of Cedar Hill, if you arrive at peak lunch and dinner hours on the weekend expect to wait, a very long wait. It is Chicken or Chicken fried steak, plus the trimmings, no other choices. Cabelas is right down the way at 10 - 15 minutes so you can do a little shopping as well.
Work hard, play hard, love without reserve....you can rest in heaven when the journey is over.

Well we won't refuse to go to the Cedar hill Babes again and we heard Roanoke is almost as good even before You thought you were trendy

Garland Babe's is excellent. Everything served 'family style'.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

One place I worked we used feed about 800 to 1000 folks @ Sunday lunch...and the food was not as good as the other days of the week, no way, just not possible. The rest of the week we cooked the Chicken Fried steaks one at a time on a sheet grill, on Sunday into the deep fryer they went, no other way to keep up with demand. The same was true of other stuff as well. I was just telling you about the original and a good excuse for a trip to Cabelas, but then "heard" about the original is not the same as having done, kinda like high fence/bait hunters(you know feed the pets all year long then shoot them when they walk up to the feeder and hunters, two different things. But, have it your way...eat at Babe's in Cedar Hill I must admit it is one step above Luby's.

x 2 here...Remember when Babes wasnt commercialized and it was AYCE chicken.?.They would bring out platters full of "sunday roaster" fried chicken..now its 35 day chickens....Sad day in Dallas when Wingfields and Brothers closed...Kinda like Dallas having chitty BBQ...Chicken just isnt the same...They actually had a Bushs in Dallas for a couple years..It was incredibly successful BUT they got tired of being robbed 3 times in 2 years...

Was at the one in Roanoke yesterday. They no longer serve green beans or desert. Love me some flat greenbeans. The one in Burleson has always been so dark, can't tell what you're eating.

I have ate at Cedar Hill, Burleson and Granbury. Several times at each location. Never had a bad meal and never left hungry.
