Hi All!

New to the forum, but saw this photo section and figured I'd post up my cat from this past December I got with Fred Wallace of Cat Track Outfitters in CO. While its not the monster tom of my dreams, its a big female, and was an AWESOME, HARD hunt!

Holy COW!!! That thing is huge! Good job! Story behind the long hunt?

Thanks for the kind words, guys. A couple of you asked about the story...It was a tough hunt for a flatlander like me. Anyone that thinks these hunts are a cinch because you use dogs is crazy. 10,000 ft elevation in the snow is tough to maneuver in. We treed a female the 1st day within about 5 minutes of cuttin the dogs loose, we even saw her get jumped by the dogs and tree. I passed her up in hopes of the big tom. Chased a couple more tracks over the next 2 days on horseback and treed the one in the pic, I had my heart set on a tom but they said she was a BIG female and that I better take the shot. By that time I didn't need to be convinced too much because I was so physically exhausted from the past 2 1/2 days of hiking and sore-assed from the horses. I really don't know if I could have made it another 2 full days. Anyway a buddy that was with me filmed it, problem is that he was so exhausted too, he could barely keep the camera up. However since I own a video production company, I had one of my guys cut a little video together.A talented editor can make a palette of crappy video look decent if he's given enough time and thats exactly what he did. He went a little over dramatic with the music, but I think its pretty funny. If you want to take a watch, click the link below.
