I have looked a few times the last month or so but the prices seem to be pretty high imo

Be careful. Lots of scams on Armslist and Texasguntrader. Unless you can meet FTF with the seller, I wouldn't do it.

I just made my first contact on Armslist the other day and right off the bat I hit on a scammer. I hate those Pieces of ????? So needless to say I am not much on using Armslist.

I had a good experience with a guy from there yesterday. It's easy to spot the scammers. Usually they list the gun in an out of the way place and they don't want to meet but only want to ship it to you. If you do things face to face, whether it's here or any other website then you should be ok. It's easy to figure it out after a couple emails.
Texas gun trader seems to have more scammers than arms list but that's just my observation.

Oddly enough I had one hell of a deal go down on TexasGunTrader last week.
250 rounds of 30-06 for 3 ounces of silver.
BUT ... do a FTF meeting. That's the key.

x2 always do FTF or ship your gun to someone you know in the area and let them meet up with that person

Man I did good one Texasguntrader 2 weeks ago. I traded an older Smith and Wesson 22a, in good shape but showed handling wear, for a brand new unfired ruger .22 mark III Hunter with the 6 7/8" fluted barrel. I gave the gun and $200.00. I have traded many guns on Texas gun trader without any issues, but always FTF. I have also made many deals on THF and never had any hint of a problem, shipping or FTF.

Armslist is a pretty good site for selling and buying guns. It's a lot smaller than TGT and doesn't have the communication available on this site. One really neat feature is the window where you can specify what you're looking for by brand, caliber, action, etc. There is a search feature here, but it takes a lot more keystrokes to get the info and may show the same thread a half a dozen times. THF is still my favorite site for feeding my gun collecting hobby, but there are ways it could be improved. All that being said, to answer the original question, I have seen some ammo on Armslist, but most of it is just as overpriced as anywhere else.
Alcohol,Tobacco, and Firearms. Should not be a government bureau. Should be a department store.
