I stood in line at gander mountain today for an hour to buy some ammo, needed 9mm and .22lr. I shoot competition and as of late have been trying to replace what I have shot. I was 14th in line and the first guy loaded his and I assume his sons basket with all the Remington buckets, 1400 rounds each, and buys it all before anyone could get a shot at it, over 15000 rounds of .22 lr. Now I understand its a free country but this guy was bragging about how well he has done at he gun shows when we were in line tuesday morning at Academy, and it just teed me off. GM has a 10 box limit, they need to amend it to 2 box limit when round count is over 100, IMHO. I ask him what gun show he was taking it to, no answer just a shoulder shrug, he knew good and well it was CHicken chit . There was 9mm left when I got there and there was 50 people in line behind me, I just couldn't take 10 boxes, it would have been all gone, I bought 5.
I know I'll get burned for speaking up but ... Whatever.

Nope heard a guy couple weeks ago say he would buy every box of ammo in the store if they would let him. He had over 40 boxes of various ammo in his cart. My thought was he would then be at the next gunshow with all of it. That thought was confirmed when another customer said at the last gun show same guy had a table selling ammo marked up 4X at least.

If no one buys his ammo, he gets burned and you don't even need to raise your temper....I checked some guys w/reloading material
at the SAXET Show last wk..They had H 380 for $28 lb plus tax..I'd just purchased a lb..at the club for $23.50 w/tax..looked on my lst can it showed $20.00..I didn't spend any
money on his merch. and I didn't get upset..He can always use it
himself if it is so valuable..DD

People just have to quit buying the ammo they are marking up 4x the normal price and it will come back down. You would think everyone is stocked up by now.

Watched a guy do that with some steel 223 then turned around and said he would sell some of it outside by his red dodge...

The problem is, it's shorting the rest of us. Thankfully, it hasn't affected me yet, since I had quite a bit loaded up before the stupidity hit, but guys that can't get ammo to take their kid shooting, because some DB snagged it all to resell is just wrong.

I hope they keep it up,some of us will suffer but when things come back around then lets see how that ammo taste to the DB's!I sold some UMC to coworker the other day for $12 a box...was that fair price? I wasn't trying to break it off in him just get fair price for 6 boxes. Now somebody comes up and needs a box or 2 for their H&R break action to teach a child to shoot I will darn near give it away!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one ticked off about these DB's. I'm normally a pretty laid back dude but this just wasn't right. I called Gander Mountain and talked to the manager, he knew exactly who I was talking about and said he would take care of that situation! I can't wait until next week.

I agree. I ordered some primers from cabela's yesterday. I did order 3k just to make the hazmat fee worthwhile, but I did NOT order 15k just to be greedy.

There is way to many people out there being greedy about all this. Just do the right thing.

Unfortunately, until supply catches up, these are the DB's that we have to put up with. Hopefully they get well stocked and then can't unload it and have to take a loss on it.

hopefully they will max out their credit cards and when the bills starting coming due, they'll slow down or stop.

Right about when the bills came due in February is when AR prices started coming down.

Yea it's pretty sorry for those to buy it and then want to mark it up 4xx. What's worse is they have customers. !!!! Those are the real problem.

I went to a gun show in Houston today, saw bricks of 525 .22 from $100.00 for winchester to $ 259.00 for a box of Remington.

Yeah I sold 10 boxes of 22 today for $20 each. Going to be upset if I see them reposted for umpteen times more than I charged.

I bet they'll be reposted before you can log on and look. Pretty sad.

Best ammo deals I have done was trading half a case of 223 for 30-06 1 for 1. And everyone was happy about it. I didn't feel like I took them, and they certainly thought they got a good deal.

That's the BEST kind of business to be in. Where both parties walk away very happy.

Everywhere in Houston I have found has a one box limit as it is. And I haven't seen a bulk can of anything in months. That guys a jerk but be thankful you are getting what you are getting.

I hear you - currently in need of ammo right now and will not buy
marked up stuff from individuals. If it becomes a I am out issue I can borrow a little from my friends.
