See the attached chart..4831 has a slightly slower burn rate than 4350. There is no reason for insulting remarks on this forum, only ignorance. True, but there is no reason for posting data that is potentially dangerous on the forum either, especially without sources to back it up. at least 2 of us have Ackley reloading manuals and cannot find a load with 4350 that matches the load of 68 grains in a 264 Win Mag.

JJH: Try P.O. Ackleys book #II. Would you like some catsup?? No need for insults? But dangerous, incorrect statements (compressed loads of 4350 are ok in a 264), followed by smart aleck posts that are still based on incorrect information (see above) are ok , I guess ? Just man up and admit you made a stupid comment, and move on.

I think my brother needs to trade that .264. Now for what? A .270 or a 30-06? What should he drive to go hunting ? Ford or Chevy? I don't think I will be using load data based on posts from this forum unless backed up.with a manual, this much I know...

Double checking any load you see posted on the Internet with a current reloading manual is ALWAYS the right thing. And DH's post is an excellent example of why.

Amazing the renewed interest in the 264. What happened to the 300 Whiteout.
