I have a 20gauge shotgun that I am trying to tune up for Turkey Season. It patterns about 2 inches to the left. How do I get it to move to the right? Should I shave some of the shims.

Does it have just a front bead or front & rear sights? If just a front bead then you are the problem. If it has front & rear sights then move the rear sight to the right.

Before you start shaving shims...flip them over and see what that does. On Beretta and Benelli's it is going from a DX to SX or SX to DX. Normally that is changing cast for left vs right hand shooter but I would try that before I started shaving in shims.
Good luck, 2" ain't much @ 30 yds.

I would try a different brand of ammo if you haven't already just to see what happens.

No one else mentioned this yet, but maybe try a different choke as well.

Ok fellas.
THe guns is a turkish offbrand that was imported by mossberg. It only has a bead in the front.
It is not me. I have had four others shoot the gun (two that were left handed) and all five of us shot to the left.
I have used all four chokes with no changes. I have used 8 different brands of ammo and shot sizes. All shoot to the left.
This gun is consistent, I'll give it that.
We even locked the gun in a vice on the bench and it shot to the left.
It aint me, It aint the chokes, It aint the ammo.
I will reverse the shims and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it.

Have you tried bending the barrel? Make sure you heat it up first.

Bend the barrel, whack it on something solid, 8" tree or larger. Don't try to do it all in one tremendous blow. Like working up a good custom rifle load, little at a time. Experiment with a cast iron pipe 28-30 inches long. Not rocket science work.

I paid $285 for it brand new. That should have told me something.
I should just sell the damn thing and buy a better gun.

I once saw Golliday Stratton at the Waco Gun Club put the Barrel of a High Dollar O/U in the crotch of a nearby Oak Tree and bend it in the direction he thought it should be shooting. Whats to loose on a cheap shotgun? JEM
