Other.

Remington 870 with multiple barrels and chokes. You could hunt everything in Texas with the right combo.

I own a remington 11-87 12ga that never leaves the safe.I just dont like it.

I have a 20ga Benneli Montefeltro that I use some for dove but primarirly hunt Pheasant and quail with. Its been to Argetina on two high volume dove hunts and performed very well both times. Its fired some 10,000 plus rounds and other than an occasional jam I have no complaints. The gun is very light weight and easy to tote all day bird hunting.

I have a 12ga Benelli Super Black Eagle. It doesnt cycle well with 2 3/4 inch light loads but works flawlessly with everything else. I use this gun for geese and turkeys because of the 3 1/2" chamber.

I have a 12 ga Berretta 391 that has 20,000 plus jam free rounds fired through it that I use for sporting clays, dove, ducks, geese, and everything else that flies thats legal to shoot.

If I could only have one shotgun It would be a 391 Berretta. Too me it has the best feel and mount. Its easy to fine tune adjust the guns cast and drop buy changing or rotating the shims that come with the gun. They will cycle the lightest of loads as well as the heavy loads. Its jam frequency (zero jams) is lower than any auto I have ever owned. They are built to withstand 10's of thousands of rounds trouble free (its reasonable to expect in excess of 40000 rounds with no problems) and being a gas operated gun it is very recoil friendly. It only shoots up to 3" shells but the only thing that I use 3 1/2 shells on is turkey and occasionly geese. Anyone that knocks a gas operated guns reliability has obviously never owned one of these!!!

Nahh.......Its not a bad gun by no means. One of these days I hope to have a grandson or two that can make good use of the gun.

I have an 11-87 and I shoot it well and to this day haven't had any trouble with it. However overall since they went back to the 1100 that would be my suggestion.

Benelli Super Black Eagle II, it will do everything from dove, duck, goose, turkey, and home defense. It will do it all.

I thought about the 1100 but I want camo. The 11-87 is noticeably heavier than all the others. The superblacks are above my price threshold. If I wasn't so dead set on camo I would take the montefeltro for sale in the classifieds. Or one of the local shops has a new Browning silver hunter for $850.

I look at the 3901 Citizen by Beretta, or the Remington SPR453 (Vodka Gun)

Franchi I-12. Bought it last fall. Not in time for dove season (12 more days!!!), but worked GREAT on ducks, geese, pheasant, chukars, and quail. Outside of my Dad's old 870- probably the best I have shot.

If you look back over your life are you fully satisfied you pleased the Maker of Creation. Are you fully assured that you have trusted in His Son, Jesus Christ, for your salvation. Are you confident that you have a definite hope of going to Heaven?
