Are you talking about the monthly flyer? If so I would rather them not post items that are not on the shelf than do what natchez has done and send out a full blown flyer with all powder, bullets and primers listed on sale... this is for march 2013... shortages were present in January.

Yep, Last month they listed 8lb and 1lb cann. of Varget, proj. ect and had none...apparently Larry listened to his cust. You cannot sell what you don't own..at least not legally..Most of the adv. in most of the mags. ect are listing AR's, ect and don't even answer their phones..DD

Ya I got my flyer from Natchez and then called. After being told I was customer 59 in line (automated of course) and waiting 23 minutes they were batting .1000: they had zero of 16 items I asked about. Tough times!

I've pretty much quit asking for now. Almost everyone is out of what everyone is looking for, and when you do find it, it's 2-3x what it's actually worth to me.
I'll wait. 'Aint nothin' out there I can't live without at this point.

I ordered a stuck case remover from Midway yesterday..they had that..should get by next week..I'd really like to know how much of this shortage is engineered now..I may have believed it for a month or so..but methinks something smells and it won't go away soon..DD

Midway has been pretty good about getting things shipped out as long as they are in stock. I use the filters on the left side of the page and have it list only in stock items.
I was surprised to see that they had 8lb jugs of Hodgdon Clays in stock! I ordered one, so now we will see how long it takes to get it!

Since orig. posting this I've checked several adv. vendors on Shotgun News and some others..who didn't have "subject to availabilty" notices on their ads..most are out of product.

I would have preferred them put that money into inventory so that they would have something to sell. As in ammo and reloading components.

What? Inventory was not available? It was before the lunacy. They should have seen this coming.

Exactly, LoL. It wouldn't have mattered if they had 10x the stock, the same stuff would still be sold out. It would probably be amazing to know how much "inventory" they, and every other distributor as well, ordered in December. Kinda hard to get it if the manufacturer doesn't have it. I've ordered quite a bit from midway the last couple months (except primers) and it's just good to see their normal prices. Bought 1000 223 bullets for reloading (Hornady 55 grainers) for $160 a couple weeks ago and they still have several 223 bullets available at very reasonable prices.

I was told last evening that one of my buddy in Alto's friend is setting up 10 automated reloaders to load 9's and 45's and he has the stock to load them..My friend in Bandera that has a business doing this advised me that they keep 500,000 rounds loaded and about 1.5mill in inventory parts..Most of the commercial loaders cannot keep up because of all of the scare and panic buying....plus they are really raking it in now w/the price increases and nothing on the shelves...This may be up to 2 1/2 to 3 yrs before it calms down..and I doubt that price w/ever come all the way back down..It will slow down a lot folks who burn rounds at targets w/semi autos..and make them bag up and shoot a little slower..DD

I do not think this is something that will end rapidly. After the 93-94 crisis prices did not come back down and that was a bump in the street compared to what is happening now.

In addition to Midway, I think it should be noted that Mike Dillon of Dillon Reloading has for years encouraged people to join the NRA by offering to pay a portion of the annual fee. Dillon has done this without any hurrah or grandstanding, and offered this cost saving to anyone in order to get folk to join, which may be more important than actual money amounts donated to the NRA.

Midway had PMAGS the other day for $14 each. They also sent the notification email. They are now one of my top places to purchase from. I seriously doubt they "don't miss" the money.
I've told a couple of other places what I think about their ridiculous gouging...wrong or right at least those places know why I am not buying from them anymore. Have heard good things about Dillon too.. I scratched another from my list of places to buy this week.

After several thousand dollars worth of orders from Midway they made A mistake on my last order. I sent them an email explaining there mistake & did they want to handle it. Received an email back the same day & was told to keep what they had sent by mistake & the right length I had ordered was in the mail to me at no cost. I told them I would send back the mistaked product but was told to keep it. To me this is how to run A Company.

One thing about times like this...you find out who's who. Amen to that. Brownell's and Midway are standup places in my book. Cheats, Thieves and Dweebs can suck it. Had good luck with 50BMG at survivalops.com too.
