Academy unarguably has the best price on the smith and wesson shields. All shields are in short supply but academy isn't jacking up the price and still selling at 399.
Now. Just got to find them. So starting a thread for a shield locator if anyone is interested.

Afraid I was one of those that succumbed to the current market pricing, just had to have one.

I would be willing to pay a little more. Similar what you may see on in stock items at a local shop for example. Just not willing to pay 50% + markup. Not hating either; just not gonna pay that.

Abilene indoor has one (9mm) now for $400. Saw a 40 at academy last week.

Picked up a shield 9mm today for 420 otd at pauls gun shop in new boston. Think it was the only one they got in. Hope it shoots as good as my full size m&p.

Got to shoot a few rounds through mine today and was very pleased with it. I actually bought it for my wife(i carry an xds45) she really likes it to. Planning to run a few hundred rounds through it this weekend and get her comfortable with it.

Academy has just recently went up on most off thier guns $10-60 bucks
Started to notice mid-week in store and just looked online and seems to be across the board. The shield is $449 now

I cant tell much difference between the recoil of it and the shield.
