Trying some loads with the Ramshot X-Terminator and 55 grain V-Max. CCI 41 primers.

22.5 grains of powder and setting the COL 2.255 leaves a good group. Trying some other variants. Anyone else tried this combo?

I use 25.7 of Vargret and 4.3 of Trail Boss for subsonic.

223, 55 grain, Xterminator, and #41 primer is about the best combo you can do! Load it at max, or just above book max (223 max) near 5.56 pressures, and it will shoot very well.

With a 1/9 twist loading right up to hot with it seems to get a bit of drift, to much spin perhaps but I do like what I am seeing with the 22.5 grains, going to load some out to 23.5 (23.7 was max recommended).

Ran through another two trays of this today. 16" Bull Barrel, 1/9 Twist, CCI #400, 22.5 Grains Ramshot X-Terminator, 55 Grain V-Max seated to OAL 2.255" and we held groups inside 1" at 100 yards consistently. Shop in the area has some 8lb X-Term.... going to commit to this as the load for that rifle.

I have loaded quite a few thousand with 55gr Hornady and XTerminator. While I have not used that exact load if it shoots good in your gun that's all that matters. Manuals vary mine say 25.1 to 26.0 is max so I am in the 24-25 gr range with no issues.
