That's the one at Bud's if I'm not mistaken. If you are a VIP member, they've got a decent price on it.

I have the RH 16" version and absolutely love it. Handles like a dream and is VERY accurate with factory 150 grain Remington Cor-Lokt loads. Will be working on handloads for it soon. Now I'm looking at the 18" stainless model. Mount a quality scope over the receiver and IMO you've got a winner.

How do you mount a scope over the receiver? I thought you had to use the long eye relief scope or Aimpoint type sites?

It comes with traditional and scout style mounting hardware.

I am personally not sold on the scout concept.
I have tried it twice and it didn't work for me.

It's an M77 receiver with the intregal bases.

To me, the forward mounting location for a LER scope is novel, but isn't all that useful unless you prefer that sort of thing on this particular rifle. I have one of my 24/47 Yugo Mausers set up in "scout" configuration with a LER forward mount. It's fun, unique and accurate. However, in my experience I prefer the traditional mounting over the receiver. I love the way the GSR handles, and for the ranges I operate in (out to 250 yards) it's very accurate. I also like the barrel being threaded so you can add a suppressor to it.
