Do incoming fronts cause hogs to move more?

Well I can say for sure it gets the blue cats moving, I jug for blues as much as I hunt hogs. It's hard to figure the pigs out I feed almost year round with cameras running and there is not a whole lot of consistancy. I believe hunting pressure plays a bigger role than the weather. Just my two cents

I'm sure it affects them some, but it's hard to tell how much. Every time I think I've got the hogs figured out, they throw me a knuckleball.

Yeah I've had the same problem with figuring em out. I have a hunt scheduled for tonight and tomorrow and there's a front supposed to be moving in. I'll let you know what happens.

People often say that a weather front will get X moving more. I am not sure why that is or what it means. If the hogs are happy where they are, why would some wind, rain, or cold make them move more?
I don't think they do too much terribly different unless the weather change somehow creates a change in their situation, either threatening them or benefitting them.
A cool front might get them out more to forage new areas if excessive heat has been keeping them relegated to the trees or wet spots. Some may be seen moving to shelter just ahead of a major incoming storm.
Otherwise, if the front doesn't change their situation appreciably, then the front isn't going to change their behavior very much.
From my own experience, hunting ahead of the front or just after it hasn't been very productive. I find periods of stability are better for hunting, whether it is a prolonged period of calm weather, prolonged period of rain, or prolonged period of wind. When we get fronts that come in with higher winds and such after a period of calm, I see a suppression of animal activity in the short run.

I know when it is hot they get lazy but for the most part they do what they want to do when they feel like it. If they are hitting your feeder every night on the game camera chances are they will hit it again today or tomorrow unless they are spooked. To me it is a waiting game, get in early and stay late and pee in a bottle.

Well the pigs were out and about but the wind was swirling all over. I saw em coming in but they winded me when I was switching from night vision to my rifle and disappeared.
