I have won a trip to the Kings Ranch for a Nilgai hunt including a Bull and a Cow and a Javelina hunt. I have been looking around and I want the best sucess rate I can get. This is a two day hunt and they tell me I will have no problem getting the animals I want. But I wanna know has anyone hunted at the Kings Ranch before for these animals. I have hunted Nilgai at the Kennedy Ranch just south of there but no at the Kings Ranch.

I have no doubt he will get a shot at a Nllgai...cant go wrong if you won the hunt..There is ALOT of meat that comes off those animals..Just be sure to use the processor u want..A cow would get us somewhere around 300lbs of meat..

I went with my dad long time ago hunted both nilgi and quail, had a great time. Do you know what pasture are you hunting?

Well I did win the hunt but its my choice of where I want to go hunting, so I picked the King Ranch because I have heard they have a lot of Nilgai because thats where they were orignally stocked in the 1920's.

I killed two in the Norias pasture of King Ranch jumping them with a truck then speeding to a crossing point and shooting them as they ran by. If this is going to be your method of hunting take plenty of shells.

Well guys my hunt is booked for two days with a guide down there by the name of Justin Fields. He is all over King Ranch's website so I am very excited. I have booked my hunt to shoot a bull Nilgai and a cow, a Javelina and a Feral hog. I am soo ready to get down there it will be the middle of November when I go, so when I do I will post some pics.
