Hey guys,

I just purchased a new feeder and I need a good 6 Volt Battery and a good solar panel. I've heard that solar panels are necessary because otherwise the battery won't last as long. Cabela's seems to stand behind their products well, I've considered buying some of their equipment. I need some opinions... Can y'all throw some ideas at me?

Also any ideas on predator cages? Make my own or buy one??

Thanks!!

Academy had cages for $8.88 last week.....hard to build a better functioning cage than that.

Any 6v battery will do you. 6v solar panel is around $20 at Academy and November is right about their cage. Solar panel is a breeze to set up.

Get an Eliminator or SpinTech spinner plate. These are better than the small cages for keeping the coons hungry.

If you're going to go the cage route, I recommend building one that is the entire diameter of your drum. If it is smaller some of the bigger coons can still reach the corn.
