Input? Or is hand held the best bet?

Through my training my first choice would be handheld preferably with strobe. Jmo

I've got an insight wx-150 thats been awesome!! Got it for about $135 but the price has since gone up about $50. Carried on my glock 17, its been very reliable, super bright. Got it about 3 years ago and runs like a champ. It's made by the same people(L3) who make eotech sights. I thought I had back battery plate issue, they sent me a new one, no questions asked(battery plate). Turns out all it was was a battery issue. Good folks, great customer service, awesome reliable product, verry rugged and robust and I like that the no tension screw. Splip it on, slip it off.

So I'm guessing you choose the momentary on w/a hand held?

Surefire X300 Ultra, 500 lumens and you could use it for a hammer to drive nails in a pinch.

Is the TRL-1 better than the TLR-3?

I bought a Glock brand rail light @8yrs ago. Sold my Glock ,but kept the light.I've used it for my main flashlight for the last 8yrs on other guns & just as a light, hunting , camping & around the house..I think I've only changed the batteries 2 times.

Is the TRL-1 better than the TLR-3? The TLR1 is bigger, holds 2 batteries instead of one. And last longer. I think it is a bit brighter, but I'm not sure. I like my tlr-1 a lot. I do need a second light. I'm debating on a tlr1-strobe or a more traditional rifle light/mount. Currently the light is on my rifle.

You should have a handheld flashlight too.

+1 on the TLR-1. Used one on my G19 and G23 for many years.
