This is the first year that I can remember receiving a Harvest Survey from the TPWD. Perhaps it was just a matter of my name being tagged by the computer. Whatever the case, I found it to be very simple and easy to complete, without the need for any postage to mail it back.

Did you buy the APH permit this year? I get one every year i buy it.

I got one and did not buy the APH permit, however I have gotten the APH in years past.

Not unless you get it with the Super Combo License. That's all I purchase every year.

Got my first one in the mail this week as well.

Yes sir... My survey looks pretty boring though

I noticed each year when one of my kids gets his or hers 1st license he or she will receive a survey. I have one more son who will hunt next year, I will see if we get one again.

The wife and i both got one. Threw em both in the garbage. Not happy with TPW. Sent em emails and letters and never get a responce back on my concerns about AR regs in hopkins co. so not gonna get one from me.

I got an email survey and a paper survey this season. I filled them both out.

Hoytman, wouldn't the survey have been a great place to express that dissatisfaction? TPWD has no idea that you tossed em in the garbage because your ticked off. Someone will read the survey though.

WCallaway you may be right but i didnt see anything on the survey where you could give any opinions. Guess i could have wrote something on there.

Hoyt - we need to hear interactions on seasons, regulations, restrictions and any thoughts or suggestions the public has dealing with the county or counties you hunt, fish, trap, camp in and concerns one or they may have to express.

We receive those surveys last week and went through each and every one of them as well as categorized them also. Some even listed the individuals name and phone if they wished to be contacted back.

I wanted to give you a couple resources to send in your thoughts and concerns you have and also for Hopkins County.

I am 49, hunted all my life. I've never gotten a survey other than the questions they ask me each year when I get a new license (should have gotten the life time licens 20 years ago but that is another topic).

Anyways, my 18 year old son did get it and filled it out this year. This wasn't his first year to have a license, he's had one for 6 years but it was the year he finally took hunters ed (his hunters ed was hunting with me for 6 years - but the law is the law). Don't know if the hunters ed course had anything to do with it or not.

I use to fill out one when we hunted an APH place alot...started gettin checked pretty regular also lol didnt bother me knew the wardens just thought it was funny

My daughter got a survey in the mail this year. Second year to buy a license. She shot her first deer during the late youth season. She was so excited to get the survey and be able to put her deer on there. We sat down together, spent a few minutes reading it and filled it out. There's more to hunting than just the hunt. It's the quality time with others that makes it special to me. Thank you TPWD for all you do!
