=Come spend one day doing it....last one was 6 seconds of shooting, 7 hrs and a case of shells rounding em up,and 4 hrs cleaning. I've done a looooot of decoy shoots. Never had one run 12 hrs. thanks for the invite, but randomly shooting into any flocks/herds of animals is unethical in my opinion for the very reasons you have mentioned. It's proven that hunters aren't making the necessary dent in the snow goose population the feds envisioned that it would take to make a difference, so in reality you're just doing it to boost your ego. A lot of guys out there see right through you and refuse to say anything. But I know, you retrieve all the cripples for miles around so it's ok. And you always make sure no other species are in the crossfire. You do it "by the book" with no mistakes. God knows how many pellets I've found in snow geese that have healed over, over the years. Since they didn't fall within 3 miles that you picked birds up, they must have not been hit. Do you hunt whitetail and caribou by unloading a 30 round magazine into them? Then dispatch the crips? I wish you would show some respect for the animals you hunt, like most other hunters. These slob tactics should not be encouraged, and for hunters to act like it's ok is a disservice to the sport of waterfowling.

So I'm sure that every duck you have shot has died on the spot, no chance in hell that any kept flying with your pellets in them huh.

Two kinds of people vote democrat. Rich people that don't have to work, and poor people who don't want to work.

If you've never raked (crawled, snuck, etc.) a big concentration of snow geese you are really missing out. It is awesome. I was inside of 30 yds on 5000 birds yesterday. It required about a mile of stalking to get there. I layed there and watched em for prob 15 min. Then I realized I was laying in fire ants. It got real really quickly. If you pulled that off on an elk, deer, antelope you'd be a real hunter. That's one set of eyes...... It's a blast! It takes skill to belly crawl within 30-50 yards of a couple thousand eyes looking around. A buddy and I did a mile sneak on a bunch of ducks in Cali one year. We crawl through rice checks, belly crawled over the roads, ran through a ditch to gain some distance. When we popped over the check where the birds were, they were as close as 5 yards. As I peeked through some tall grass to see what the birds were, to our lucks they were all Pintails and Canvasbacks. Thousands of them! We both killed our limits of Cans and Sprig. Then watched the birds for the next 30 minutes. They all came back to eat the rice after we had spooked them.

When I was a kid the farmers used to put us on their combines. You can drive a combine right through a pile of geese. We would kill them by the truck loads, Truck loads.

We can ride a horse right through the flock. Now if I can just figure out how to get a belt fed auto five mounted on the back of my horse.

Don't you know that horse would shoot right out from under you. You would be hanging in the air like old Hakeem Olajuwon during his fade away jump shot.
