 Paid $75 bucks.. What do you think?

I bought this old deer mount from Garvins Store yesterday out in the Texas hill country. Garvins store is located on hwy 83 and 41 between junction and Leakey, been going in there my whole life and this deer has been hanging on the wall forever. Don't know that he was worth $75 bucks but I think of it as buying a piece of Texas history. What do you think, was it worth it?

These mounts always crack me up! My co-worker has some mounts from the King Ranch that are 30-40 years old (like that one). I'm pretty sure the mold was fairly handmade back then, which is why the proportions are all funny. Even though (to me) they are a little comical, its still cool to have hangin around!

Did you fumigate it first? Ha, probably should have. I thought about cleaning it up but then I'd be washing off all the history

Its all in the eye of the beholder. I would spray it or treat it first, if you have any mounts in the house they are at risk.
