Apparently they will not sell to any NY Govt anymore! (Don't think I've seen this, if I missed it - well it got posted twice) http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=573076246049586&id=114264921930723Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers.

I think it is more the principal more than a hassle to the gubment agencies in the communist state of new russia.
Can any LEOs or FR on here tell of any agency supporting OLY as an acceptable weapon???

What a joke. Strictly an advertising move.
"Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines."
So they are not going to sell where legislation bars them from selling. Good for Olympic - they're not going to break a law.
From their website "Olympic Arms does not take orders for firearms from retail consumers." All they are doing is cutting off their New York distributors - which there weren't any in the first place.
They have done nothing but attempt to get press. If a gun owner decides to buy an Olympic Arms product because of this statement, they are a sheep and have been manipulated.
Buying because it is a product they like - different story.
