Where are you guys ordering this from?? My vet wants 41.00 for a 6 month supply. Lowest I have seen on the net is 33.00. Anywhere cheaper. This is for a 50-100 lb dog
Thanks, Roy

Try Ivomec if you're concerned about price. About $35 worth will last several years.

I have been hooked on Sentinel. Never had the first flea and no heart worms. More expensive, but now Sentinel plant is shut down and no one can get it for the time being, but I swear by that stuff as much in the field and beach as we were and never the first flea.

Use about a half cc of ivomec. Squirt it down the back of his throat.

Do you use ivermec by weight? If so what is the calculation?
There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

1/10 C.C. per 10lbs of body weight.

Ive seen the ivomec at tractor supply, but injectable form..is this was your using orally? Yes, but I'm using a generic. Dad uses it to worm his goats, search online for the generic. Dont buy it from tractor supply, you can get a whole lot more for alot cheaper with just a little searching. On another note, also make sure you are using enough, parasites form resistance to this drug extremly quickly. Dad use to run his own fecal test and if you dont give enough to get em all the colony grows and youll have a bigger problem and need to switch to a much stonger and more expensive type. How often do yall give it? This beats the heck outta the pills the vet sells

Once a month. I buy mine at feed stores or Tractor supply. You want the injectable. I treat 9 dogs & $40 worth will last over two years.

What about keeping fleas off. I know the Sentinel is expensive, but I never worried about fleas

Same stuff I use. That is a good price. Just remember, it's not recommended for use in herding breeds.

Bill, we have always used ivermectin injectible for cattle as well. 1/2 cc for a medium size dog squirted down the back of the throat once a month. You have to get it in the back because they will try to spit it out and don't be alarmed if they drool or foam a little. It's a very harsh drug so it will kill all of the intestinal parasites but don't use it any more than that bc it can burn them up. Thats the same thing that vets use to treat a heartworm infection.

I've been using ivermectin for years. 1/2 cc per 50 lb dog per month. One of my dogs has red mange. I've been treating him with 1 cc every other day for years. It hasnt hurt him, and keeps him looking presentable. It will not kill tapeworms, but most other parasites are done for. BTW no one will tell you this, but I never have a problem with ticks, fleas or earmites either. I attribute that to ivermectin.
