I currently use a pair of Cabelas Silent Suede shooting gloves or a variation of that type. I want a pair of gloves that is sleeker than those bigger bulkier gloves so it is easier to shoot and load shells but is still insulated and waterproof. Let me know if any of yall have had any good experiences with different brands.

I have never been able to load ny shot gun with insulated gloves. Always wear mountain hardwear liners or sealskin type gloves.
I either us a hand warmer muff like the cabales woolimate, and or handwarmers in my pockets.
Most water proof glovers have just a waterproof liner in the glove making it to think to load a shot gun.

Big thick ski glove looking things to drive the boat, then nothing else. Can't stand gloves.

I use heavier gloves to throw out the gear and get it ready. Then, I use either pleated jersey gloves or golf gloves to hunt with. If you are not wet, the hands don't get cold as fast. Always have extra pairs in case you get them wet. If it is really cold, I have hand warmers in my pockets, so I can put my hands in my pockets when there is no action.
My secret to keeping warm is to walk about 200 yards or so 10 minutes before LST, this warms me up nicely without making me sweat...which will get you cold later. Also, don't walk in with all your layers on or set up with all your layers on. I always have one more layer to put on after I have walked and hunted for 30 minutes or an hour. That is when I seem to start getting cold. The extra layer keeps me warm for at least another hour. By then, I usually have my limit and try to get out to rest the duck hole.

I love these. They are not completely waterproof and aren't advertised as such despite the reviewers comments. They are water resistant. I'd recommend them for driving and hunting but prob not setting and picking up decoys if it's cold. It usually isn't too cold down here but the day it iced us really bad a couple seasons ago and was 17 degrees my hands stayed toasty warm and dry and still was able to shoot. http://www.basspro.com/RedHead-Decoy-18-Insulated-Waterfowl-Gloves/product/10201978/

Im with everyone else, big ski type gloves to throw out dekes and set up, and then either hand warmers or a thin "base layer" glove like UnderArmor. You cant beat a pair of pockets for the price....

Manzellas to put out decoys then no gloves and just use toasty toes stuck to the inside of my pockets. I feel much better touching the safety and trigger with bare skin than with gloves. Plus it makes me uncomfortable to call with gloves on. But to answer your question the manzellas are unbelievably warm but only water resistant so you cannot dunk them.

Cabelas rag will fingerless gloves most of the time.
Full fingered rag wool gloves why it really cold. (I wore the full fingered gloves for 30minutes on what hunt this year. Could have used my pockets instead.)

Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

I wear glomits when its cold. (Mittens that fold back leaving my fingers exposed to load and shoot with.) I put the mittens on and when the ducks show I just push my trigger finger out. I bare hand picking up and putting out the deeks.

I took two different guys out this year on differnt hunts that used the mittens that fold back. By the time they got ready to shoot, I already had the ducks belly up in the water.

Sounds like they might be a bit challenged then. I have no problems with it whatsoever. I don't fold them back. Just push my finger out.

No gloves, hand warmers and fleece lined hand warmer pocket on your waders, gloves just make it worse, cumbersome and there is no such thing as warm and waterproof when it comes to gloves

I didnt have a single hunt this year where I felt the need for gloves because my hand were cold. That being said I will often wear some super thin ones. I'll never forget when I was hunting with my dad one time and he started doing his thing where he can't sit still so he had to go walking around. Well he is on the other side of the pond...a good 100 yards away and I'm sitting there laying back with full camo on and a face mask but no gloves. When he comes back he says it's amazing because when I was over there I would not have been able to see you if it wasnt for your hands.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

Nomex Flight Gloves. Military issue at the Army Navy store. Not water proof but they keep your hands just warm enough and you do not lose any dexterity. Plus they are green on top. Get the ones with the grey palms. The black palms are tanker gloves and the leather palm is thicker. They will appear long just roll them down a couple times.

I wear thin gloves because the most obvious thing to blow your cover is your face and hands. And some days the receiver of your gun gets cold for holding.
I usually carry two pairs, though, because one inevitably gets wet picking up birds or something.

The closest thing I have found to both warm and waterproof is sealskin. Once you get them wet on cold mornings (30 or below) it can take a little time to get your hands warmed up but they are waterproof.
