Well a couple of buddies of mine found 3 little puppies wandering around by my families place, and I decided to take this little guy in. I can't really decide what I think he is though, so I'm kind of fishing for help as to what I'm in for. What do you think?

pit\chow mix. My buddy had one that looked like that he called Rambo. Looked tough but was afraid of everything.

I'm hoping this one doesn't end up like that too. I already have a 98lb American Bulldog that is a giant baby.

A buddy of mine recently had his grand daughter mauled by a pit. If I had found them they would have looked worse.

Yes he does have some pit in him. I have a pit/lab mix and he will lick you to death. Its all in how you raise them. Most people are not educated enough and believe that all pits are dangerous.

I dont ever hear people saying all chiwawas should be killed, and they are one of the most tempermental breeds I have ever seen.

Pits are one of the most loyal breeds there is and all they want to do is please their masters. So if their masters want them to be mean then thats what they think they are supposed to do.

If someone ever killed my dog just because it has pit in him. They better move far away and hope I dont track them down because it would get ugly quick.

This one was a family dog and had never shown aggressive behavior. I've never seen a chihuahua rip the face off a 2 year old. Unfortunately many people are not educated and understand that dogs were bred for specific tasks. Retrievers retrieve, pointers point, pits attack. You can take the dog out of the fighting pit but it's still in them.

This weekend I caught a chihuawa that had gotten out of its kennel at a super bowl party, it squealed at first then attacked my thumb viciously... it didnt break the skin. A pit is a little different.

I got chased by a pit when I was a kid, would have torn me up until my dad stepped in. Same dog attacked a few kids in the neighborhood until it was killed

I truly believe that pit bulls are inherently aggressive by nature and I have no use for them.

AmStaffs/ Pits are a banned breed in Germany. Can't even bring them in if you're military. They'll get confiscated at Frankfurt Airport and you'll never see them again. Same thing with Argentinos and Presa Canarios.

Bull dog for certain in it, can't see enough to know if mixed but as he was loose he most likely is mixed.

While Am Staff,s Stafordshires, Am. Bulldogs are all in the "Pit Fighter" breed, It pains me to hear them called "Pit Bulls", it also pains me when one hurts someone.
I have a 5 year Old Female Am Staff that is a lover of all things Human, 8 days to 80 years, super sweet and gental. Other dogs? ya never know with her, some she is fine, some she wants a piece of....owning one takes absolute control and attention for certain, and comes with a responsability. If she DID ever hurt a human they would not have to put her down, I would myself, but I feel pretty good that she would not....unless perhaps someone hurt my wifey or broke into our home...even then I really think our lil Boston/Frenchy mix would get'em first.

Show him love, do not beat him when training, they are softies at heart and a stern look will go much farther than a hand.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER allow him to use his teeth, you cannot play with them the same way you would most other breeds.

Mouth/teeth = NO, period, every time.
