Looks interesting. Hope it's nothing like the 770. Gonna be competing with the Ruger American and Savage Axis.

I am seeing lack of comments about the newest Remington creation.
Probably better than the 710/770....

Time will tell.

I have seen entry level model 700's with a lower MSRP. Why not admit the 770 is a failure and this is just an attempt to keep up with Ruger and Savage on the low end. They should have rebadged the Marlin X7- that is a nice rifle.

The 783 is actually not bad the trigger was super crisp, but it is a knock off savage everything about it. The only thing remotely remington is the flattened bolt head and safety.

Looks like the barrel will be easy to change with the savage-esque barrel nut.

looks like a Remington 770 and a Savage 10 mated and had an ugly kid with a Remington 788 ejection port.

Lets see the 710, 770 and now 783, did Remington finally get it right on a lower price point rifle on the third try. Since discontinuing the 788 they have shown not to be a player in the lower price rifles. Also the "user adjustable trigger" wonder if it is like the 700 in that it is user adjustable but voids warranty if adjusted?

Cylinderical receiver, barrel nut, and bladed safety for light trigger!
How is this not a Savage?

Hahaha, companies and their ardent supporters kill me! For years Remington folks, their fans and not people from the company, have been dogging on Savages and now they make one. That's just plain funny to me.

I'll pass. Looks like it was made from a used Isuzu bumper. I wish Rem would make their high end rifles more available and get away from selling scrap iron.

They should have labeled it Sanford and Son Model 783.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

They set $451.00 as MSRP, wonder what did they add for the extra buck?:)
