I said it several weeks ago, if you were even remotely thinking about selling you shoulda done it when the demand was there. Now the panic has settled and the guns are still shipping and the classifieds are friggin saturated with them. Predictable...predictable....predictable!

Gun shows are packed with pedestrians with "NIB Bushmaster Patrol $2600" I talked to a "private" kid at his gun show table with New Frontier polymer guns for $2000 each. Academy stores are getting shipments and speculators are still camping out all night to straw sell. Gunbroker is accurate market price, no names going for $1100 new and name brand stuff for $1300-$1500

That's ok, the next thing is Glocks. Saw a 19 gen 3 with 2 mags in the classifieds for 800 bucks.

The only thing I am having a problem finding now is .22lr... Bought a ammo can of 556 at walmart last night, but can not get a CCI minimag.

You guys are spot on. All these people that are buying AR platforms that are 3 times the value are in for a rude awaking when nothing happens and they are stuck with a 3000 dollar gun that is worth only 700-1000 dollars.

There's still some madness out there. Just last week, saw a used Sig 716 with bipod, scope, and a couple misc on consignment sale for $5k.

Oh theres guys out there that haven't figured out that the crazy buying is no more for sure. Here in the classifieds and elsewhere theres still guys listing $800-$900 guns for $2000 + and all they do is bump it once a day or reduce it by $50. Even where things are at now I dont understand why guys are stupid enough to pay $1400-$1500 for $600-$800 gun. Guess some folks just gotta have stuff right now regardless of the loss of the investment. The truth is so many guys that have bought AR's don't even have a clue what they should cost or did cost or will cost.

But they're always "rare" or a "great deal for the package". A fool and his money deserve to be parted...

That's what I don't understand. There are still plenty of Glocks on the market Brand new from 500-530 the only thing even remotely hard to find is the mags.

I was never a big fan of tactical style rifles. But after the November election, I grabbed a couple of M&P 15 Sport's because they were only $640 new - and I remember the 1994 ban. I also figured if the prices spiked up, I could just sell them for a profit.

Time came and I just didn't want to sell them. Sure, I could use the money, but I liked the way they handle and shoot. One of them is now my compact truck/ranch rifle. The other will be a gift to my Grandson when he gets old enough. It was a good lesson for me: try something before I decide that I don't like it :-)
