Saw 6+ deer on the east side of 35 before the 114 exit. They were feeding in that winter wheat field around 2:30. Traffic was moving to fast to pull over, but I would bet they are there tomorrow.

my friend has 50 acres off 114 about 1 mile west of 377. Hes got a few 8 points and 10 points over there.

I see those deer about once every two weeks coming home from work.

Heck, I saw 3 deer try to cross the road the other day at the end of Main street in Grapevine on the Sunday before Valentine's Day. One deer got hit by a car, but it ran off. First deer that I have seen in Grapevine.

I don't drive that way too often, but last 5-10 times about sunset there haven't been any Deer. This morning about 8 AM there were some out there on the tree line.

yea one day i was driving 114 and i told my brother n law to stop i swear i saw a damn deer we turned around and for sure 2 does and a 4 point or so it was jsut nice seeing them in the city area just wish cars wouldnt hit them

Tonight saw a nice young 110+ buck at Sunshine & Highland in Southlake. This is near the new Middle School. Right in the middle of someone's front yard! I have been in Southlake 10 years and this is the first deer I've seen east of Carroll. Talking to old timers they never saw many deer in this area even when nothing but countryside.

Holy moly...now everyone is going to be trying to get a Grapevine permit to hunt the few deer that are next to the highway. I use to duck hunt at Grapevine until it became a circus. Now it looks like it will be the same for the deer. Just to put it in perspective...the deer that are being photographed are probably in zones that you can't hunt since they were photographed near 114. GV hunting areas are very restrictive. Just because someone took a picture of a monster in a field near Sabre property doesn't mean you can shoot it. COE property is heavily used by hikers, bikers, horse riders and other people. Years ago a friend and I would set up off TW King road near the lake to duck hunt. Over time, it became a joke. People setting up at midnight or leaving dekes in place over night.

I saw a ten point dead on 114 just west of the race track about a year ago!

About 4-5 years ago, Thanksgiving day, I saw an awesome 10-12 pt. walking the brushline across from Cowboys driving range towards the Gaylord. Was about 10AM and 45 degrees. Was able to stop him with some deer bahhhingg. Conservatively, I would have guessed him a 140+"....

Have seen one other 6 pt. in that same area and another 4-6 pt. north of the dam at night near Grapevine municipal golf course.

I did see a stud 160'ish heavy 10 this year at 4:00 am, same spot, side of the road and apparently thinking about crossing. .... I was headed to the vine...got me pumped up and excited.....then I got skunked on a all day hunt. Lol.

I worked in Grapevine on main street in college (2010) at Su Vino Winery and one morning as I was filling one of our big stainless steel vats with grape juice I looked out the window to see a really nice nontypical and 3 does just walking down main street.

that's cool! I have seen a HUGE Red Stag coming out Tap-In a couple times on Main Street, but I blame that on the beers.

Haha, yea. Tap-Inn is next door to Su Vino. Never did see any Stag around there though.
