I shot a doe yrs ago that had a red collar and a red bell around her neck
Good way to get hung up somewhere

what is bad is if it is wire, and she doesnt get it off, it may not turn out good for her....

Luckily it looks to have plenty of slack, and a doe isn't going to get that much bigger a neck. It would be more of a problem if it was a buck.

Looks like some kind of collar with a bell to me. I would have thought that just some kind of wrapped up wire would have rubbed off the hair. May be, or may have been, someone's pet. Just my guess.
